JGpercussion - The World's Best Timpani Mallets

Using only straight bamboo with no knots, JGpercussion introduces a new selection of timpani and bass drum mallets. This lightweight bamboo is sought after by players looking for a stick that is agile and moves quickly off the head.

Each pair is sewn by hand with high-quality American and German Felt.

All mallets are handmade by Jason Ginter, Principal Timpanist of the San Diego Symphony.

Joseph Pereira Signature Line

All of the mallets in the Joseph Pereira Signature line are made from strong, hand-selected bamboo. Mallets with a ball-stick design (JP 1-5) are hand-sewn with the highest quality soft German felt. Mallets with a European layered design (JP 6-10) feature layers of leather and Viennese flannel.

Each pair is 15 inches long (38cm) with bamboo ranging between 11-13mm in diameter. Each mallet comes fitted with a European style handle grip.

JGpercussion Original

Handmade from the finest quality materials, JGpercussion Original timpani mallets are the best bamboo timpani mallets available. Each pair of bamboo is hand selected for a matched pair that is strong and sturdy, and slightly larger in diameter than other mallets for a stick that feels comfortable and creates an enormous sound.

Whether hand sewn with hard American felt or soft German felt, or covered with supple Chamois leather, only the highest quality materials are used in the construction of these mallets. All pairs are 15 inches long – except for the JG Chamois timpani model that are 14 inches long.
