Re-designed with European-style bamboo, JGpercussion is proud to present the Joseph Pereira Signature series of timpani mallets.
All of the mallets in the Joseph Pereira Signature line are made from strong, hand-selected bamboo that has a perfectly sanded joint in the center of the mallet.
Mallets with a ball-stick design (JP 1-5) are hand-sewn with the highest quality soft German felt. Mallets with a European layered design (JP 6-10) feature layers of leather and German flannel.
Each pair is made from bamboo 11mm in diameter, and each mallet comes fitted with a European-style handle grip.

Frequently Asked Questions
Joseph Pereira SIGNATURE Timpani Mallets
Q: What size bamboo do you use?
A: The bamboo range is 11mm in diameter, and each pair is about 37cm long (around 14.5inches). Custom sizes and cores are available; email info@JGpercussion.com for more information.
Q: I just received a few pairs of the ball sticks and they sound similar. Also, my flannel sticks are fraying abit. Why is that?
A: There is a breaking-in period for all of the Pereira mallets. As you play on the ball sticks the felt will expand slightly, bringing out the sound of the core. You can expedite this process by playing them on a snare practice pad. The layers of the flannel and leather sticks will flatten out over time, making them sound better every day you play them.
